Sound Like John Frusciante (Red Hot Chili Peppers)
John Frusciante probably one of the most-well known guitarist of our time and one of the most imitated. John was not a founding member of the RHCP, but he certainly defined the band and its sound.
John left the band during the touring for the album, Blood Sugar Sex Magik, and was replaced eventually by Dave Navarro (Jane’s Addiction), whom the album, One Hot Minute, was recorded with. After John’s departure from the group he went into a downward spiral of drugs and overindulgence. Locking himself up in his residence for days on long drug-trips while painting.
John rejoined the group and the RHCP released, Californication, which cemented them as rock icons of our era.
Here is the list of gear that John Frusciante generally uses live:
Amps:
Fender Dual Showman Silverface Head
Marshall 2550 Silver Jubilee Head
Marshall Major Head
Cabinets:
Marshall Cabinet / 4 x 12
Guitars:
Fender Stratocaster American Electric Guitar
Fender Telecaster American Electric Guitar

Sound Like Tom Morello
This is a list of Tom Morello’s live guitar rig set-up. Tom is best known for his work with the band Rage Against the Machine; which when lead singer, Zach, split with the band became Audioslave with Chris Cornell (Formerly Soundgarden) fronting the band. Tom’s sound and set-up has been pretty consistent his whole career. He prefers to work with the same sounds and set-up, that way he can make due with what he has and focus more on the writing and the creative side of things.
